Materials

Our sail is made out of a bag which is great at keeping air inside of it powering our car. It was also very cheap helping reduce the price of our car to one of a high school students. We used ductape to connect our sail because it is very strong and won't melt our bag like hot glue. (Even though it melts phone cases) Thanks Racheal

The body of our design is similar to that of a sled. It is small and weighted on the top to prevent the car from falling over.

Our wind powered car design is going to allow our car to glide over the floor while acquiring very little friction, as if it were gliding. It is also very small allowing the wind to carry it great distances and still remaining stable.

Our wheels are made out of ping pong balls which are very cheap, light weigh, and smooth. The balls should glide across the floor especially since they have little to no weight.

Whats special about engineering

Our design in general coasted about $10.00 but that is for several cars mainly to buy the balsa wood and screws.

The special thing about engineering is the fact that our group is trying to make something original. Even if our design doesn't work we can make changes until we are satisfied with our outcome no matter how many tries it takes.
