Metamorphic Rocks
Metamorphic rocks are formed by heating up or squashing the earth's crust. They are often found in mountainous regions. They were sedimentary or igneous rocks that were formed by heat or pressure.

There are three types of rocks, igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary. These rocks all form in the rock cycle.
Igneous Rocks
Igneous rocks form inside and outside of a volcanoes. If it forms inside of a volcano it's intrusive igneous rock. If outside it's called extrusive igneous rock. They are formed from magma (lava) that cooled overtime.
