My poems
ELEPHANTS
By Amelia
Fears
Happy elephants dance
On periwinkle flowers
twirling in the
WIND
Fears fears we all
Have them some
Don't show it
But others cant hide
Fears
We all have them.
Soft Ball
The Terrible 2s
The Raft
I stand watching
From above the dock
As they play at the raft
Splish
Splish
Splash
I run to join them
As I climb on the raft
Water sprays in my face
We splash and laugh
Splish
Splish
Splash
This is Vermont!
A mit in your hand
As you stand watching them
Hit
catch
Through
With a bat in your
Hand you stand
In the sand
As they watch
WHAM
The ball flies out of the
Park
So cute a baby brother
But wait the terrible 2s
The screaming and yelling
The slapping and kicking
And ever since then it seems
He’s never come out of the
Terrible 2’s
Memories
Hard Shoes
Five year old
Memories they come and they
Go at any
Time of day
Five Year Old
Pink all the way
Unicorns and puppies
And always in lala land
But then I turn 6 and it’s
Dance, dance and more dance.
Hard shoes
Are
Really snug and
Dancing with them on can give you
Sore blisters but,
Having hard shoes are fun with
Other music playing while
Everyone is tapping and
Scratching the floor.
Swimming
You dive into the pool
Swimming your hardest
You lift to breath
All you can hear is the cheering
You reach the wall and flip
Before you know it you have already
Reached the end
And looking back you realise the other three
Are still coming!
