What's A Veteran?
A Veteran is someone who risked his/her life for you, leave their families for long periods of time. It's not easy. If it wasn't for the men and women in the Armed Forces, we wouldn't have most of the stuff we have right now.
What most of you don't know is that veterans have a harder time getting a job than people who are not. Hospitals and such won't hire them. Also, did you know that a civilian has a higher rank than a war vet? It's pretty sad that it's this way. They don't get the respect that they deserve.
On Veterans Day, take a few moments and recognize these men and women who go off to war or even work on base in an office, they're all risking their life just being there. There is so many things that could happen. One morning they could wake up and within a few seconds their life could be over.
