Conclusion

The process of a microwave is the radiation emitter and the motor for rotating disk.

The information from the input system (touch/keypad) tells the radiation emitter how long it should be active and shooting the heat at the food placed inside. It tells the motor for rotating disk how long to rotate.

In conclusion the goal of the microwave was met.

We can also conclude that a microwave is infact a type of computer because it has the 4 main components that every computer has which are...

Storage

Storage

The storage of the microwave would be considered the space inside the microwave, because it stores the information (food that needs to be warmed up).

The Appliance

The appliance we chose was a common household microwave.

Output

Input

The Output of the microwave is the sound that the is made to alert the user that the process is complete. This sound is made by the sound card, only after the process is complete.

We know that a microwave is a computer because it has a input, output, process and storage.

The input of a microwave is what is the user programs or puts inside the microwave. The part responsible for the input would be the touch pad with numbers We know this part is the input because it is telling the microwave what to do which is how long to be heated at what heat level.

ex. time buttons, heat level, defrost, cook, reheat etc.
