In Brave New World written by Aldous Huxley,
hypnopaedia is used to ingrain a message deep into the minds of the subjects without their realization. The message, whatever it may be, is subliminally delivered to the people's minds and they never realize it. In a way, advertisements have a similar goal in that they try to get a message across creatively so the audience never realizes. While ads may be more obvious and common, both hypnopaedia and advertisements share the same goal. They aim for the subject to have a certain thought next time they come across something.

This commercial tells the audience how their website will make you smarter and "expand your brain 's abilities."
The ad begins in a snowy, uninviting weather conditions. The man falls into a pit which can symbolize how much he feels trapped in hi current weather conditions. At the end of the ad it shows an "escape" to the warm climate and shows the freedom that the company can guarantee.
The company asks us what beauty feels like and where it begins. They assume that we don't know the answer and they are not looking for one; they answer their own question.
In the ad, the spokesperson says that nothing works better than Claritin, but he never specifies what products they compared it to.
The commercial shows support for America's soldiers and troops, a subject almost all Americans strongly respect. In between shots, it shows a Jeep, trying to connect the audience's feelings of patriotism and admiration to the car company.

The ad shows different people doing every-day things, such as skateboarding or eating. They show people doings things anyone can relate to so that the product appeals to "plain folks."
In this Nike ad, golf celebrities Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy are promoting the company.

The subtle voices in the background whispering words like "luminous" subconsciously convinces the viewer that it does these things. The ad also uses beauty appeal. The women wearing the makeup is so beautiful that it helps convince that by buying this type of makeup your skin can too be flawless and beautiful.
