Labor unions were created by workers to create fairness at work, such as better working conditions, this was after the many strikes and riots, they all settled down and discussed these problems

Strikes

Workers went on strikes/riots. They wanted better working conditions and they also asked for a promotion, they knew they weren't getting paid enough

Low Wages

immigrants wanted anything they can and most of them came to the U.S with little or no money. They were paid below the average income, but not much was able to be done, since they could've easily been replaced after asking for a salary increase
