The Case Of Vicki Lynn Hoskinson
On Monday, September 1984Vikki Lynne Hoskinson went to mail a letter on an afternoon
Vicki was late and her sister Stephanie went to look for her but all she found was a bike which was very odd.
Witnesses reported of seeing Vicki in a dark colored car with a strange woman.
Agents found a fresh gouge by the mailbox and was assumed to be the way the kidnapper knocked over Vicki's bike. it was sticking out of the ground about 16 to 18 inches.
The vehicle spent alot of time at the high school so the agents on the case were able to run the liscense plate which led them to to a man named Frank Jarvis Atwood.
Jarvis had a police record for kidnapping and child molestation.
Jarvis was found by F.B.I agents at a garage in texas with his friend James McDonald
They brought them both in for questioning and they had substantial amount of forensic evidence against him.
Investigators had stories that was Atwood's guilty but required physical evidence. They compared hair samples from Vicki's bedroom and hair found in the car, but they were not matches. Investigators also found pink paint found on Atwood's vehicle's front bumper, and after comparing it to a sample of pink paint from Vicki's bike, it was determined to be a match. Chrome plating from the bumper was found smeared on the bike.
