Miklos Nyiszli

Miklos Nyiszli was a well known Austria- Hungarian doctor who was born June 17, 1901.

Nyiszli became a prisoner of Auschwitz (a concentration and large extermination camp during World War 2) in June of 1944.

Nyiszli was eventually sent to start doing autopsies on mainly twins and dwarfs of all ages. All of his work was supervised by Josef Mengele a German officer and physician who was using Nyiszli's research for his own cruel experiments.

Miklos Nyiszli survived Auschwitz after being their for 8 long months. He was reunited with his wife and daughter who also survived. When he got out he felt it was his duty to tell the stories of the people that died in Auschwitz.

Nyiszli volunteerd himself to be a doctor at Auschwitz. He was sent to help the ill with hardly any supplies and tools.
