Family Life Cycle

Stage One: Individual

During young adulthood the child learns to live independently. It develops career skills and other traits for living a successful life.

Stage 7: Senior Years

The senior years are a time for adults to look back and remember the times they enjoyed as they were younger.

Stage 6: Middle Years

The Family Life Cycle

Stage 3: Childbearing

In this stage, all the children have moved out and the parents have their time to themselves. Most use this to focus on their career and possibly to care for their own aging parents

The Family Life Cycle is a cycle that all families go through as their family progresses. This includes: Individual, Marriage, Childbearing, Parenting, Launching, Middle Years, and Senior years

When children are added to the family, the family must adjust to their new responsibilities as parents.

Stage 2: Marriage

Stage 5: Launching

Marriage is the time in life where an individual forms a new family with another individual.

This is the stage in parenting where you prepare your children to become successful adults and be able to live their lives on their own.

Stage 4: Parenting

In this stage a person works on raising their own children, as well as working on their careers and adult lives.
