King Leonidas & Alexander the Great

When he succeeded his father to the throne in 336 BC, after Philip was assassinated, Alexander inherited a strong kingdom and an experienced army. He had been awarded the generalship of Greece and used this authority to launch his father's military expansion.

What are they famous for?

Leonidas 540-480 BC, the legendary king of Sparta, and the Battle of Thermopylae is one of the most brilliant events of the ancient Greek history.

Leonidas died 480 BC aged around 60.
