Louis Armstrong was a jazz musician nicknamed Satchmo or Pops. He played the trumpet and had a recognizable voice. He extended beyond jazz, for at the end of his career in the 1960s he was widely regarded as a influence on popular music in general.
Louis Armstrong never marched or made appearances with civil rights leaders. When criticized for not taking any public stand Armstrong would simply reply, “I don’t get involved in politics. I just blow my horn.”
Louis armstrong inspried me because he sang with a outstanding voice and i recognized one of his songs from a movie I still today watch.

Ray Charles was born on September 23, 1930, in Albany, Georgia. His father, a mechanic, and his mother, a sharecropper, moved to Florida when he was an baby. One of the worst events of his childhood was witnessing the drowning death of his younger brother.
Soon after his brother's death, Charles gradually began to lose his sight. He was blind by the age of 7, and his mother sent him to a state-sponsored school, the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind in St. Augustine, Florida—where he learned to read, write and arrange music in Braille. He also learned to play piano, organ, sax, clarinet and trumpet. The breadth of his musical interests ranged widely, from gospel to country, to blues.

Charles is not only known for his music, but he was also known for standing up for what he believed. Standing up for what you believe in is a big part of being a hero in my opinion. If someone doesn’t stand up for what they believe in, how can they be a hero? During the time of the Civil Rights Movement, Charles didn’t play in Georgia, because it was segregated. As a result Georgia banned him, and his music for life. In the early ninety’s Charles was granted the right to play in Georgia again, and his hit song “Georgia on My Mind” became the state song.
Louis Armstrong was a strong man who grew up in a trashy place and delivered coal but he found hos way around this into coming a loved man who played his trumpet and lived a good life.
Ray Charles overcame witnessing his brother drowning and found his way to live with blindness. he became a amazing jazz musician who is loved, by some people, more than Elvis Presley.
Esperenza Spalding grew and immediately loved music. She had great talent in school, enough to beat people 5 years ahead of her. She mastered all different kinds of music hip hop to the blues. She was exceptionally good at a bass and makes loved music today.
Esperenza Splading inspired me because of her talent to play bass and sing. She was better than other players that had 5 more years of jazz practice.
Ray Charles inspired me cause he is a great piano player and sang many good songs.
Ray Charles pioneered the genre of soul music in the 1950 by combining rhythm and blues, gospel, and blues. In 2004 his song rolling stones ranked him 100 of the greatest artist of all time.
