Areas of abuse of misuse of computers and internet
Computers and the internet are misused by users in the following areas;
- Hacking
- Computer virus
- Fraud
- Stealing (phishing)
- Pornography
- Cyberwar
- Piracy
- Plagiarism
SAFETY MEASURES IN THE USE OF COMPUTERS
- Blink your eyes frequently to reduce dryness.
- The tops of your eyebrows should be level with the top of the screen.
- Adjust the chair settings to adapt your body for the proper height and lumbar support.
- Shake your hands periodically when typing for extended periods of time..
- Take frequent short breaks when performing repetitive tasks.
- Try to avoid the habit of drinking water, tea, coffee etc. while working on a computer desk.
- Wipe your hands before you operate the computer or any other electronic or electrical device. ·
- Do not place your computer close to windows or any other place where there is a chance of getting wet or moister due to weather condition. ·
- Try to avoid using dining table as your computer desk at home

- Avoid downloading file attachments from unknown sources.
- Be mindful of the information you exchange on the internet via chats. Etc.

Ethics are the moral rules, standards or principles of behaviour for deciding what is wrong and right.
Computer ethics are the rules, standards and guidelines that are adopted.

Computer users should take the following precautions in using the computer system;
- Obey rules and regulations
- Avoid liquids dropping into the system
- Use dust protective covers
- Protect the system from power problems
- Unplug the system when not in use
