  • Regional 1% sales tax Increase

Who Implements It?

Where Does The Money Go?

  • Mostly by the Georgia DOT along with local governments
  • Funds collected in each STAY in that region
  • No sharing of funds between regions
  • 75%(Except ARC) of funds go to regional projects
  • Transit projects implemented by Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA) in Atlanta with local transit sponsors
  • 25% goes to local government projects

What If It Is Voted Down?

  • For each region:
  • No Receiving of additional funds to pay for proposed projects
  • Does not affect other regions directly
  • If this referendum is turned down, no new plans can not be introduced for another 2 years
