The school mission is at the forefront of all we do - there is an intentional, daily effort to cultivate compassion, independence and a true JOY of learning.
The Montessori methodology is at the root of our toddler through Upper Elementary program and, at the same time, permeates the Middle School program.
Teachers and administrators are consistently assessing their practices and program; embracing feedback as a means for reflection and growth; researching and exploring proven approaches in pedagogy; collaborating with colleagues about curriculum; and differentiating instruction in order to meet the needs of every student.
The external perception is that FWM has a challenging, but supportive program where the arts, athletics, and technology are strong and shape the whole child. Just as important is the school's intentional approach to citizenship and character building. All of this springs forth from a committed faculty, staff, and administration who keep the Montessori philosophy and the school's mission at the center of everything they do.
• Continue to acknowledge the necessity/importance of high standards for faculty, and staff , as well as for myself, that are central to the success of FWM

• Combine All Staff and Faculty Meetings into one meeting a month

• Develop a personal professional development plan, in collaboration with several FWM teachers, to broaden and deepen my understanding of Montessori methodology
• Identify ways to solicit a wider range of input as decisions are being made
• Be diligent in attending grade level meetings and use those meetings to bring and discuss decisions relevant to the group. Collaborate with Academic Deans to identify which people should be involved in making decisions
• Review the number of monthly meetings and identify ways to accomplish the work that needs to be done more efficiently
• Develop a more effective email communication and system for addressing concerns
