A Narwhal's Tusk

More Narwhal Facts

Narwhals have some of the utmost amazing bodies, and starring that body is the tusk. The tusk is pretty much used as a tooth, and a few scientists think that it's purpose serves the same way as a moose's antlers. Their tusk base is oddly invaded with head lice, and it's color goes from the dirty brown tip to a beautiful pearly white at the bottom. Sadly, the coronation throne in Denmark is made almost completely of narwhal tusk. Somehow at least 1/3 of each narwhal group, the males have broken tusks. Their tusk can weigh anywhere up to 20 ponds. Male narwhals occasionally tend to fight with their 'swords', and it can lengthen up to a total of 10 feet! These narwhals are sometimes called unicorns of the ocean, and their tusk is exactly why.

A few other things about narwhals I did not mention earlier: Narwhal's calves (baby narwhals) are born looking a slate grey. Narwhals are related to dolphins, and this makes sense, because a narwhal pretty much looks like a dolphin with a unicorn horn! Narwhals are suited with muscles that help endure and speed their body, rather than to be strong. They have an elagant heart-shaped tail that millions of people dream to see.

The Pint-Sized Blue Dragon

Why Narwhals Die

You may have heard of this mysterious dragon in the waters. It is a series of blue sea slug. It is scientifically proven to be more closely related to a sea snail than a sea slug. It has a very beautiful and graceful body, like a mermaid dancing in the sea. Their given name is the Glaucus Atlanticus. Some people couldn't pronounce/read that, so they named it the Blue Dragon.

Pacu Fish

Panda Ants

Narwhals are very capable of dying. This is because of: 1. Predators, such as the polar bear, killer whale, and us humans.

2. Lacks of things, like food and air. These narwhals are being killed for a tusk; to people a tusk is like an elephant tooth. They are going to be endangered soon.

One of the many random but somewhat interesting facts are that Pacu Fish can grow up to be bigger than a full grown piranha! What's even wierder, is that some people keep them as a pet! Pacu Fish have human-like teeth that make them look like they have a complete human mouth!

Panda ants are a cute and fascinating group. But stay a distance away, because it's tiny little pincers can lead to serious pain-and sometimes

death. Panda ants are really wingless wasps that have a ferocious sting. They are embroidered with little tiny hairs that make it seem a miniature panda. They are sometimes known as the Ailuropoda Formicide, and their worst predator is the anteater. They are almost extinct, and if not eaten or killed, they will live up to be 2 years old. The mothers lay around 2000 eggs per year, and it is impossible to find the difference between the two genders. The easiest way to figure that out is to find them mating- but I'm not doing that- I'll get bitten! So don't stay around to watch a panda ant, no matter how adorable!
