Born: Friday Febuary 28th, 1873.
He was born in Dalbettie Dumfries Scotland.
He was 39 years old. When he died on the Titanic.
He was the first officer which basically meant that he was in control of the officers.
His Pay on the Titanic was £17.10.00. That was about $25.35 in American money.

As sailing day approached, however, Captain Smith made Henry T. Wilde , of the Olympic, his Chief Officer. This caused the original Chief Officer Murdoch to step down to First Officer.
He ended up devoting his life to saving the other people by loading the life boats and eventually died in the freezing cold Atlantic
