-Seek to know your self better and the gifts God has given you. -Steinhart

- Daily time in Scripture and Prayer. -Otis and Finkle

-Carve time out everyday to do something you love. - Otis

-Speak about life with a loved one, best-friend or an accountability partner. -Otis and Finkle

-Eat healthy and exercise regularly. -Finkle

Otis:

  • Do everything whole-heartedly! Do not compromise and lose your integrity. It cannot be regained.
  • Do life with a degree of importance and urgency. Live in the moment. Be passionate about life and the gifts God has given you.

3. How do you see spiritual warfare active in your life and ministry?

Do activities that feed you personally through a hobby

Finkle:

  • It's ok not to be perfect. His strength is made perfect in our weakness.
  • It's not about you. It's difficult to keep the focus of ministry off yourself. It's about a King and a kingdom -- God is going to have His way.

Routine:

- It is a daily habit to spend time in prayer either verbally or in thought.

- Read Scripture Regularly. This doesn't necessary mean everyday but it does mean meditate on it daily.

  • Integrity is absolutely crucial to a life of ministry.
  • Genuinely love people.

They are one in the same. It's not about putting in the hours. You're never truly 'off duty' when in ministry.

The Sacraments

- Baptism, it is essential for Baptism to be a part of your story as you have died with Christ and resurrected to new life in Him - Romans 6:3

- Communion, regularly partake of the bread and wine in remembrance that we are now a new creation in Christ because of His life and death is not optional for the believer - Luke 22:19

- Preaching of the Word, regularly sitting under the teaching of the Scriptures is key to your personal relationship with the Lord - 2 Timothy 4:2

Things to remember:

-They are one in the same, your personal life and ministry life.

- Learn how to balance the two with the help of the loved ones in your life.

- Plan a day off in advance to do things for yourself and/or family

- Practice to be mentally present in both areas

Importance of Community:

- Hebrews 10:24-25 says,

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (ESV)
