Steve Jobs and his friend and colleague Steven Wosniak created a machine now called the Apple I . When Jobs had finally convinced Wosniak to sell it, it took a while to get going. After some advancement in technology and the creation of the Apple II ( with colour and pre-assembled) Apple took off. In 1979 Jobs started working on the Macintosh. This Eventually led to the creation of the modern Macbook Pro.

The iPod
Apple released the iPod (or iPod Classic), which was also designed by Jonathan Ive, in 2001. This started a "swarm" of iPods that up to now have gotten more technologically advanced. Apple sold over 220 million iPods from 2001 to 2009. This eventually leaded to the creation of the iPad in 2010, as well as the iPhone in 2007.
In 1998 Apple released the Macintosh 128K: the iMac designed by Jonathan Ive. The iMac had modern technology and a modern design. It sold over 800 000 units over just five months.
