Welcome, today I am going to show and prove to you how ready I am for high school. Also I am going to tell you how much I enjoyed my 8th grade year, here at Glacial Drumlin.
Some struggles that had this year in spanish were the projects because I would do everything as followed on the direction sheet but on the final copy I made small mistakes. Also I had some difficulties on quizzes/tests.
My goal at the end of this year is to get a B or better on the spanish final exam. I will complete this goal by studying, staying focused, and asking any questions that I have.

1. Multiple choice/reading/vocab:
87% = B+
2. Written part and answering questions: 81% = B-
I am very proud of my self because I did reach my goal and a way to end spanish with a B or better.
How math went this year for me: Math this year went really good for me because I had two teachers in the classroom to help me if needed help. Also splitting the class into two also helped me because I feel like I learn quicker if there is a smaller group instead of a whole class.
At the beginning of the year received a score of 1/20.
On the second benchmark test I received a score of 7/20.
On the third benchmark test I received a score of 14/20

One challenges that I had in math this year was solving interior and exterior angles because it was very new to me.
Another challenge that I had this year was remembering to bring my inractive note book. One thing that will help me to remember is to put a note in my locker.
I liked art this year because I like to do arts and crafts and I am familiar with some of the things that we did this year such as self portraits, water colors, acryic paints. I also liked art this year because we didn't do everything that we did from the previous years.

-Asking questions
I have learned in science this year to work as a team to get the best results and listen to each others ideas and be respectful. I also learned that you don't have to look like a scientist in order to be a scientist. Science is like a black box.

Solar system and planet unit: At first I didn't know anything about dwarf planets or how the sun and moon orbited. I also didn't know too much about moon phases. I did really well on the test because I used my notebook and asked questions if I had any.
What science means to me is working to discover the unknown and using evidence to support my claims. I have been working as hard as I can to work as a team and stay focused.
I improved my writing this year by writing my essay on the Eric Morse story. I had to choose wheather was the crime scene based on society or themselves. I chose the society because the kids see crimes and think its okay to do it too and can get easily influenced. Grade: B+
The vocabulary will definitley help me for next year because I heard that the europian history class in high school is very challenging so I will already know most of the vocabulary and most of all be prepared.
The book that I chose was Bronx masquerade because I was able to relate to what culture I came from and the book shows true feelings and emotion. I would definetly recommend this book to someone who really likes or has a passion for poetry because this book teaches you to express your feelings and do not be afraid to express who you are.
History helps me understand the present day because it teaches me how things work and how hard it was back then vs now. In the Civil War, the Civil Rights movement was a big thing and it teaches us not to repeat history by hatred or racism
Thank you for listening to me prove to you how much I am ready for high school. I hope that you can see that I really care about my studies and thank you for your time.
At the beginning of the year I scored a 10/40 on the vocabulary assessment that included the American Revolution, Events leading to the Civil War, and American Government. At the end of the year I scored a 23/40. I increased by 32%. I also got 13 more correct than my inital assessment. My teacher always helped me if I needed any help and made sure I understood what he was teaching me.
I liked techniques in writing this year because it really tought me how to write different things and come up with creative ideas to write about.
My favorite plus class this year was careers because I got a better understanding/idea of what I wanted to be when I grew older and I got a better understanding of what college I wanted to go to.
