This amendment does protect the undeniable rights to life, liberty, and property that all American citizens have. This amendment increases the possibilities for more people to be a part of the national government through presidency.
Yes! This amendment is a legitimate exercise of government authority. It clarifies and expands upon the eligibility requirements for president by making an addition to a section of the Constitution that has already been declared constitutional. In fact, this amendment helps to create a society with more equality and does not contradict or violate human rights.
This amendment aims to give non-natural born citizens equality in terms of necessary qualifications for presidency. It hopes to allow people born in foreign countries, who have been raised in the United States as American citizens and who abide by United State laws, the opportunity to become President.
We hereby propose the 28th Amendment that :
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, or under the condition that one becomes a naturalized citizen of the United States before attaining the Age of five Years shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
