In an organism system for plants we have light energy, heat energy and chemical energy which is then converted to photosynthesis energy.
Light energy is used when the sunlight hits the chlorophyll in the plants leaves where it captures the light energy from the sun. Heat energy is used from the sun's rays as it heats and warms onto the plant. Chemical energy is used as a form of photosynthesis this happens when the energy from the chemicals are stored as chemical bonds of rich energy for example glucose (sugar). This process occurs in plants, bacteria and also algae. This all then converts into carbohydrates and carbon dioxide (CO2) which is a form of a chemical compound and the energy is stored back in the plant as photosynthesis.
In an energy transformation for light bulbs we have 4 types of different energy they are electrical energy, light energy, heat energy and thermal energy. Light and heat energy is also known as electromagnetic energy
Inside a light bulb there is something called a filament which reacts to electricity, electrical energy happens when electrons flows through the light bulb. Once this happens light energy occurs because of the bright glow the light bulb gives off. Then we have heat energy this is caused by the filament heating up from the electricity that flowed through, once this gets hot it's then converted into thermal energy as heat energy is stored into thermal radiation. This is how light bulbs work in our everyday lives.
In our digestive system we have kinetic energy, chemical energy, mechanical energy and heat energy.
Kinetic energy is used when the our bodies are in motion, we use motion to move our jaw muscles to crush substances. Mechanical energy happens when we consume foods or liquids by chewing, drinking and swallowing the next stage is chemical energy this occurs when we use our enzymes in our saliva to break down our food to the stomach where also heat energy occurs because the acid is churning the food, this is how our digestive system breaks down food and energy can now be used.
