I chose to read Fake ID by Lamar Giles because my favorite genre has always been mystery and the title caught my attention.
I liked how this book always keeps you in suspense, I could never put the book down, each chapter leaves you wanting to read the next.
In my opinion, this book couldn't have been better. Everything is perfect for someone who loves mysteries.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves mysteries. Also, because the content in this book is mature, I do not recommend it to younger children. But if you love mysteries and suspension, this is your book!
Everyone has secrets, Eli Cruz, Nick Pearson, and even Eli's sister, Reya Cruz. Eli was talking about this mysterious thing called 'Whisper Town'. Nick thought it had something to do with his dad, given their reputation. On the day Eli was supposed to tell him what Whisper Town is, Nick finds him lying on the floor in a pool of blood.
Now Nick suspects his dad is involved and he has to choose between helping Reya find the answers to her brothers sudden death, or keeping his identity a secret. To find out what happens, you have to read the book. (;
In the other schools Nick has been to, he's had to cover up his dads job, and he hasn't had any friends; but this school is different. On the very first day at his new school, Nick runs into trouble and gets saved by a kid named Eli Cruz, the schools "newspaper nerd". They then become friends.
Tony and his family are in the Witness Protection program and have had to change their identities many times. When they move to Stepton, Virginia it's their last chance.
In the book Fake ID by Lamar Giles, Nick Pearson is hiding in plain sight.
Oh, and just an FYI, Nick Pearson is a fake name, his real name is Tony Bordeaux.
