A Homopolar Motor is a motor that is powered by electricity and Magnetism working in sync. It was first built in 1821 by Michael Faraday. Although the original model was quite complicated, it can now be easily replicated by simply using copper wire, neodyium magnets and an AA battery. The motor uses direct electric current provided from the battery and the magnetic field provided from the neodyium magnets to make the copper wire rotate.

How does it work

How is it used in real life?

The Homopolar motor is powered by a AA battery the battery. The electrecity from the battery powers through the copperwire and creates a magnetic force. Then when the magnetic force meets the magnets it propels the wire to spin.

The homopolar motor isnt used for anything in real life, its mostly used to test electricity and electricity motors. Scientist also use them to investgate electromagnetic forces. But it is still very fun to make one and experiment with it.
