How Newton's Laws Effect Baseball

First Law

According to Newton's first law of motion a baseball that is hit by a bat will keep going until forces act upon the ball. These forces can be gravity, wind, etc.

First Law

When a man slides towards a plate and he slows down, because of friction and gravity; this all is stated under Newton's first law.

Third Law

Using Newton's third law "For every action there is a reaction" if a baseball bat hits a baseball the ball will move, because the action of the bat hitting the ball lets the baseball have the reaction of moving.

First Law

Second Law

The first law states that an object will stay in motion or stay in place until a force acts upon it; a baseball will stay in place on the field until wind moves it or someone comes and picks it up.

Newton's second law says force is acceleration times mass, the object with the lower force can be moved easier. The force of a baseball bat is larger than a baseball so the ball is the one that moves.
