Reverend Hale favors John Proctor and believes him to be a good, righteous man. Due to this, Hale had sided with John Proctor and tried to clear his name of any suspicion and false accusations.
Giles and John are fairly good friends. They respect not only each other, but each other's values as well. They stuck by each other in the witch crisis until the end.
Both John and Rebecca regard each other highly. Each person thinks the other is like a saint. However, up until the end of the book, John didn't look at himself the way Rebecca did. Instead of believing he was like a saint, he believed he was worthless.
Both Elizabeth and Abigail hate each other, and the root of their hatred was the affair that Abigail had with John. Abigail's hatred goes to the point where she wants Elizabeth dead.
Abigail and John Proctor had an affair at some point in John's marriage. That affair crippled John's relationship with Elizabeth and also created hatred between Abigail and Elizabeth. Since then, John has neglected Abigail and tried to restore his relationship with his wife, but Abigail has tried desperately to seduce John and get rid of Elizabeth.
John knows that the girls are faking in order to save themselves and he is trying to put an end to it.
Because of the narration, it is inferred that Reverend Hale and Rebecca Nurse have heard numerous good things about one another and therefore know of eachother very well. As a result, they have high mutual respect for each other.
Reverend Hale believes that Abigail and the girls are pretending to be attacked by witches and the Devil in order to save themselves from getting in trouble for dancing in the woods.
Much like Reverend Hale, John has realized that Danforth and his court have become corrputed. John believes that the court has lost sight of its original purpose, which was to convict witches and bring them to God. Instead of trying to save lives, they ended up killing innocent people, which is what John was trying to get the court to realize the whole time. Because of this and because Danforth was trying to use John to get to other people by signing a confession, John dislikes Danforth and the court.
Reverend Hale has realized that Danforth and his court are corrput, unrighteous, and unlogical. He tried to change it, but due to the court's ignorance, he wasn't able to. Due to this, he left the court and sided with John Proctor.
It is inferred that Abigail believes Danforth has more power than her, so she sees him as a threat.
It is inferred that Mary Warren wants to fit in with the girls, and as a result, it affects the life of other characters like John Proctor.
The girls (spefically Abigail) accused Tituba of being a witch
Danforth has begun to suspect that the girls might be faking everything, but because he wants to be 100% just, he doesn't know who to believe. Since there is no true evidence of anything, Danforth believes that it is best to assume that anyone who is accused is a witch and has decided to stick to his guns. This ended up corrupting him and his "justice". In the end, he was just ultimately confused by all the accusations and testimonies. I do not believe that he looks at anyone as an enemy, but instead he is just a stern person and talks coldy to anyone he believes is ungodly and is a bad Christian.
Its inferred that Abigail and Tituba would obviously not be friends due to Abigail shifting the blame of witchcraft to Tituba.
Abigail has taken advantage of Mary Warren and has used her to help rid herself of suspicion.
Giles Corey hates Thomas Putnam because he believes that Thomas was taking advantage of the witch crisis. Giles accused Thomas of getting his daughter to falsely accuse other people of being witches so that they would lose their land and he could then go and buy the land for himself. Naturally, Thomas didn't like that he was accused, so he retaliated, and thus, hatred was born.
