Examples should be relevant and support your line of argument.

Use appropriate cohesive devices such as linking and transition signals to connect your supporting arguments

Strengthen your argument by demonstrating how other authors agree with your position and show evidence

Present opposing ideas.
One approach is:
State the views of those you disagree with.
Launch a counterargument to rebut.

The other approach is to:
State your position.
Present opposing arguments
Rebut or launch a counterargument
.
A serious weakness with this view is …

X fails to fully acknowledge the limitations/significance of …

Perhaps the most significant disadvantage with this approach is …
Also, things to remember when writing an argument essay

Ensure that all your ideas are relevant to the thesis.
At the right level of generalisation.
Your arguments demonstrate critical thinking skills. Evaluating opposing arguments and rebutting claims will demonstrate this.
Be persuasive but don’t overstate, or be emotive, exaggerate, be over-idealistic or over-generalise. You need to get the right balance

Standards in art education need to be improved because, if this were the done, practitioners and designers would have more chances to get jobs after they graduate.
Computer software is available that can give you information and also animate it.

Everyone in the community knows a lot more about these programs than they used to.

Television shows and advertisements do not only stick to traditional stereotypes, but also focus on renewing gender roles and images within society (Courtney, 1983: 24). In this essay, I will briefly look at television as a social communicator and then look at the ways its programmes and commercials construct and reinforce gender stereotypes.

Recently there has been a good deal of rather sterile debate about the alleged readiness of Australian academics to succumb unthinkingly to the doctrines of French intellectuals…
This debate
illustrates our concerns nicely… (Hudson & Bolton 1997,p. 9)
Since 1986, the fastest growth among the leading ancestries [in Australia] has been in South and East Asian ancestries, with Chinese, Vietnamese and Indian ancestries more than doubling in number by 2001. Lebanese ancestry also increased rapidly over the period, by 76%.
These changes
are consistent with the broad trends in immigration and the birth rates of immigrants in Australia. (Australian Bureau of Statistics [online] 2003, Available: http://www.abs.gov.au)
Because only a few people have most of the money and power in Australia, I conclude that it is not an equal society. Society has an Upper, Middle and Lower class and I think that most people when they are born into one class, end up staying in that class for their whole lives. When all three classes are looked at more closely, other things such as the differences between the sexes and people's racial backgrounds also add to the unequal nature of Australian society.
McGregor (1988) argues that Australian society can be categorised into three levels: the Upper, Middle and Working classes.
In addition, it has been shown that most Australians continue to remain in the class into which they were born.
The issue of class and its inherent inequity, however, is further compounded by factors such as race and gender within and across these class divisions.

Higher art educational standards would lead to increased employment opportunities for practitioners and designers.
The existence of computer software for the presentation and animation of information...
Greatly increased community awareness of these programs…
This is a traditional area of employment for art graduates.
A common complaint is that graduates lack the skills.
