THE WINDING PATH OF....

ENGLISH LEARNING

I continued to learn English grammar and writing in Taiwan. My hearty pursue was to write as great as a native.

ABROAD TO ENGLAND

The love of a soothe British speaker reading a literature master piece still fascinates me. After I came back to Taiwan, I regularly listen to many English audiobooks such as The Iliad and The Odyssey. I also watched BBC news, CNN news, and ABC news to maintain the habit of listening to English.

THE END

thanks for watching

My father was studying for a political Ph.D in England at 1999; therefore, I was taken there at the age of four with no basic English learning

I was sent the St.John's primary at Manchester because my father had to work on his study;therefore, he had no spare time to look after me

It wasn't a easy experience for me to blend in. I know no English, and of course, I was unable to speak to anyone except my father. The first year was tough, I was often in the situation of being discriminated by some boys who likes to call me "the China girl", quarreling with my classroom teacher, and constantly ill due to the weather.

Patrick and I had much fun such as playing king and queen, acting, drawing, playing chess, singing nursery rhymes, and watching Disney cartoons during after school.

Another period that I progress in English tremendously was during the last year of staying in England. My father bought me Roald Dahl's children's book with audio sound to listen. I loved the stories so much, so I spend nearly more than six hours listening to the tapes every day. The progress was amazing, I was therefore starting to speak English very fluent.

me!!

I learned English quickly during that time because I had a friend who wouldn't mind my silly pronunciations and awkward word using. Besides, I was given a chance to speak with a native speaker in a considerable amount

him!!

Fortunately, I met a nice boy at the second year of school, his name was Patrick Bradbury.
