Some say moving can be great,
Some say it causes hate.
From what I have discovered over summer
I hold with those who say it is great
But if I had to move again
I think I know enough of loss
To say that for moving away
The loss is also great

I believe this story is going to be about the authors feelings towards summer and winter. In the poem he will explain his feelings towards the two seasons and why he feels the way he does.
Throughout the poem the author explains two end results that could possibly bring destruction to the world or a relationship.
In the poem the opening line explains a debate between two groups of the people, the ones who believe the world will end in fire and those who choose to believe ice. He then proceeds to explain to the readers the side he chooses to agree with, fire. Then we begin to see more about the authors attitude that he is a little undecided about which side to agree with. In the last four lines the author explains that if he had to choose against fire he has enough reason to settle with ice.
When I go back to revisit the title after analyzing the poem in many different ways. The title foreshadows further events in the poem. After reading the poem the reader can understand why the author chose Fire and Ice as the title for the poem.
I believe the poem is written about a major argument between two people. Fire and Ice is a metaphor for the two different ways the dispute will end. Fire is possibly a metaphor for a violent ending that will leave both sides hurt. Ice is possibly a metaphor for a calm ending that could end in both sides being left pleased with the results and unharmed.
Yes, their was a shirt in the tone when the author was explaining his reasoning as to why ice would be a good end result with the author. In the first couple lines of the poem the author explains that for an end, fire would be the most reasonable end for him. Then the author slowly changes sides to side with ice. We see a slow change in his descion that leads to his final choice.
This poem began to make me feel suspicious. It made me start to debate if the world will end in fire or ice. It started to make me contemplate all possible answers.
The authors tone in this poem is ambivalent. He is undecided on which side to choose between either fire or ice.
1. Imagery: Imagine a person moving from one state to another in a car packed full of boxes and suit cases
2. Rhyme/Rhythm: Both authors use a beat throughout their poems to keep the readers entertained and interested in what they are reading
3. Metaphor: In the poem Fire and Ice by Robert Frost the author uses both Fire and Ice as a metaphor. Fire can mean desturctive ending and ice could mean peaceful ending.
4. Hyperbole: In the second poem the author exagerates actual feelings towards moving.
5. Personificaiton: Fire and Ice are capeable of destruction. In a way Robert Frost personifies fire and ice almost giving them a mind of thier own capeable to destroy anything.
