Aeneas and Dido end up in the same cave, where their marriage is suppose to be complete. Mercury then comes to Aeneas and reminds him of his destiny. Aeneas then plans a voyage and leaves Dido. This resulting in her committing suicide.
When he sets sail from Africa, he is driven by a storm on the coast of Sicily. He tells himself he needs to celebrate the memory of his father with divine honors. He then makes up the funeral games. While the games are going on, Juno sends Iris to persude women to burn the ships. Jupiter sends a shower, to extinguished it. Aeneas then builds a city for the women, old men, unfit men for war, weary of the voyage, and sails for Italy. Venus procures from Neptune a safe voyage.
The Sibyl tells Aeneas what adventures he is going to encounter in Italy. She sends him to the underworld. She tells him about the place and then conducts him to his father, Anchises. Anchises shows him the waiting souls of the future who turn out to be the leaders of the Roman Race.

Aeneas ship and six other ships arrive safely at a African port. Aeneas goes out to discover the country. He then meets his mother (a huntress). She conveys him in a cloud to Carthage. There he saw his friends that he had lost. Dido, then begins to have a desire for Aeneas.
Aeneas explains how Troy was over taken. After encounters with Hector's ghost and then his mother, Aeneas leaves the town. He then settles his Household Gods in another country. In order to do this, He carries his father on his shoulders, leads his son by his hand, and his wife following behind them. When he finally reaches his destination, he looks behind him to see that his wife has disappeared. When she returns, she tells him which land is designed for him.

his only daughter, Lavinia. Turnus being in love with Lavinia, breaks the treaty that was made, and engages in his quarrel Mezentius, Camilla, Messapus, and many more.
Turnus attack the Trojan Camp. Jupiter, calls
a council of the gods, and forbids them to engage in either party. When returning, Aeneas comes back to a bloody battle. Turnus kills Pallas. After the battle, Aeneas sends Pallas body home. Turnus challenges Aeneas to a fight. " Then Turnus’ fortitude forsook him and he begged for mercy; and Aeneas would have given him his life, but at the instant his eye fell on the belt of Pallas, which Turnus had taken from the slaughtered youth." The poem concludes with Aeneas killing Turnus.
