Mission Statement

Our Approach

The Website

Demonstration

Our goal was to create a website that displays baseball statistics in a visually appealing way that is simple to use and to explore ways of marketing the product.

Lot of activity on the Apple app store. Top Apps include iScore Baseball/Softball Scorekeeper, Topps Pennant Baseball, and Sporting News Pro Baseball

Common complaints:

  • display is not graphic enough, should be less text based
  • developers don’t update stats enough
  • not supported on all platforms
  • lack of post-season updates
  • frequent crashes
  • have to manually load pro players’ stats

By providing a service free of charge to consumers, Our sole mission is the showcase the abilities of our programmers and marketing team to the industry and potential employers.

Marketing Overview

DEMOGRAPHIC

  • Target demographic is males age 18-49, more likely to switch brands
  • Interest in baseball as a whole is declining
  • The market is a niche group of individuals
  • This demographic tends to be technologically savy

Demonstration

Tech-Savy Fans

"MLB has turned to social media, WiFi, smartphones, computers and tablets to draw younger viewers and fans. AXIA Public Relations notes that MLB streams games, especially to give fans an option other than commiting a couple or more hours to television. Twitter feeds from MLB inform fans about contests for tickets and merchandise and games. Mobile devices allow fans to comment and take and post selfies from games and with players -- effectively giving the league and its teams free advertising. Depending on the team, fans can order paperless tickets from their smartphones."
