-Roosters were sent in a arena to fight

-The owners would put metal blades on the roosters' claws

-They would fight to the death

-Cock fights were very expensive

-Even Queen Elizabeth would show up at these fights and bet on these cock fights

-Bear Baiting was similar to bull baiting

-The bear would be chained by the neck and attacked by dogs

-Another variation of bear baiting was the whipping of a blinded bear

-Some animal bloodsports similar to those in the Elizabethan Era are still legal and accepted in 'modern' societies such as bull fighting in Spain
