Effect:

Cause:

Nylon was key in World War II, this material replaced silk stockings and could easily serve as a tourniquet or bandage.

Women now worked in factories and could make bombs etc, faster due to Henry Ford's assembly line.

  • Nylon

  • Factory Line:

How did industry and Capitalism end World War I and cause World War II.

All the changes or important dates I put on my Timeline all had an effect on the war.

The United States came into the first World War in 1917 and was the basic, simple reason why the allies won. Woodrow Wilson acutely only got involved because the Germans sank an American passenger ship, Lusitania, that killed over 100 Americans (Lecture). However, the US was manufacturing ammunition, air bomber, etc. and sending supplies over seas to the allied forces in Europe. To conclude, our industry got us involved and ended World War I. At the Treaty of Versailles meeting it was only, the allied forces that decided the "punishments" (Lecture)

Timeline of Changes during 20th century

Video:

This video is quite cheesy, but the content behind the video is accurate and contains valuable information.

Continued:

The concepts of these wars can be seen again in the Middle East. Although, the goals amd true reason for war is quite different. The closeness of one war to the next is almost the same time span.

After, the meeting the simple decision was that Germany would get screwed, because they funded the war. Italy and Japan also got very mad because Great Britain and the US got land, but they didn't receive anything (Lecture). Both of these countries then went out and got more land by terrible methods. These capitalists got their ideas because it wasn't "fair" just like those cool new shoes they couldn't have so they stole the shoes and weren't punished. This eventually lead to the start of World War II because no on was stopping Hitler from world domination. Just like Napoleon wanted but, never accomplished.

1908-Henry Ford

1920 - First Commercial Radio

1903

1945- The Atomic Bomb

1938 - Nylon is invented

These bombs are tested on Japan's cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and claimed over 100,000 lives. This invention started the next generation of warfare.

This product will replace silk as stockings and become a key element in war as a cordage device.

Using this device Freddy Roosevelt gave his fireside chats and using this device war reports could be transferred across the country in a matter of seconds compared to sending a telegraph across the country.

The Wright brothers take their first flight with their airplane the Kitty Hawk.

This element will become a key part of World War I when bomber planes destroyed the point of trench warfare and will become one of the key elements in battles during World War II.

The Model T was the first car and was affordable, and was simplistic. Everyone wanted one of these new cars that were faster than horses however, not very safe. Ford designed his Model T with interchangeable parts which was a key part before the World Wars. The Model T could be converted from a car to a tractor in less than an hour!! Ford payed "high" wages which are acutely regular wage today, however immigrants having to do the same job all day were happy for the job. Ford even had his own school to teach workers about; America, English, math, religion, and prohibition. By 1913 Ford will be finishing a new Model T every 93 minutes.

1940 - Jeep

1957 - The Polio Vaccine

Photos from battle could now be sent across the world to let the people know what is acutely happening.

This man made structure route will become essential trade route and cut the voyage more than 8,000 miles. While building this structure more than 25,000 men lost their lives. This meant that products could ship faster and cost more due to industrialization. Image if that letter had reached Mexico Hitler would have been able to get submarines across the world in half the time!

Dr. Albert Sabin develops a polio vaccine using strains of polio too weak to cause infection but strong enough to activate the human immune system. His invention will put an end to the polio epidemics that have crippled thousands of children worldwide

Jeep's become the primary mode of transportation for generals, captions, etc. These vehicles were durable and could transport injured away from the battle field much quicker. They will become a key part of World War II.

This element is essential to today's society, I love coming in inside of a hot day and having a cool house. Air conditioning was key in the south were the heat was the cause of much pain.

The device was not used in factories until later in history, but made working much easier, this device was eventually used in planes (PBS).
