Summary

You know... Matt and Fen did not start out as friends..

In the beggining,matt is walking home from wrestling practice when he notices that fen is tugging at a shield on the towns treasured longboat.

He pretends not to notice until Fen notices him. the two bows fight.

Matt uses Thor's hammer and Fen spirals to the ground.

Matt then finds out about his quest and tells Fen.

Fen agrees.

He is the descendant of Thor.

Descendent of the god Loki. Unlike Fen, she has not shifted into a wolf, but she can open portals. Unlike Matt, she has no fighting experience or weapons, but she does have a sixth sense, the ability to find the other descendants of the dead gods.

Matt is a team player. He is the leader of the descendants of the gods.

He likes to wrestle and knows a lot of things on the topic of fighting

Sometimes the portal takes them to random places, sometimes they go where she wants them to.

He has this awesome amulet that is shaped like Thor's hammer.He uses it to throw bright light and a huge BANG

Descendent of the god Loki, cousin to Laurie, wulfenkind. He is not used to being a team player, following rules, or trying to do the right thing.he almost always in a grouchy mood because he does not want Laurie to get hurt,mainly because she refuses to stay out of the fight.

Wulfenkind means he can change into a wolf

Descendent of the god Balder. Like his ancestor, Baldwin is impervious to pain and injury by everything except mistletoe. As a result, he has an advantage in a fight. He also likes to cuddle with snakes!

He is also always very cheerful!!

Raiders

Descendent of the god Frey and goddess Freya. The twins have their ancestors’ skills in magic which comes in handy for the Descendants. On the other hand, Rey and Reyna aren’t exactly sure if they want to be involved with this "end of the world and fight with a giant snake" thing.

They are a group that sounds like boy scouts gone bad but they are actually the monsters that will end the world. They are all shapeshifters.

A Short Beggining

From the book description:

In Viking times, Norse myths predicted the end of the world, an event called Ragnarok, that only the gods can stop. When this apocalypse happens, the gods must battle the monsters–wolves the size of the sun, serpents that span the seabeds, all bent on destroying the world.

The gods died a long time ago.

Matt Thorsen knows every Norse myth, saga, and god as if it was family history–because it is family history. Most people in the modern-day town of Blackwell, South Dakota, in fact, are direct descendants of either Thor or Loki, including Matt’s classmates Fen and Laurie Brekke.

However, knowing the legends and completely believing them are two different things. When the rune readers reveal that Ragnarok is coming and kids–led by Matt–will stand in for the gods in the final battle, he can hardly believe it. Matt, Laurie, and Fen’s lives will never be the same as they race to put together an unstoppable team to prevent the end of the world.

They then set off for there quest to fight the end of the world.

They travel to Mount Rushmore where they fight the trolls that live there. then, they go to Deadwood, the place where the twins live.they tell them but they do not wha'nt to talk about it at first.

Larie opens a portal to Reptile Gardens Rapid City South Dakota. They find Baldwin there. It turns out that he already knows about that stuff already.They take him in.
