Respect for All Adults

  • Bus Drivers, Lunchroom Staff, Custodians, All Teachers, All Teacher Aides, Administration, Newberry Staff, Parents
  • "Just Do It"
  • All concerns should be directed to your homeroom teacher

Assembly

  • Enter auditorium at Level 0
  • When seated, before assembly has started, level 2 conversation is appropriate
  • Be on the lookout for a level 0 signal to begin assembly
  • Sit up straight and be attentive to speaker
  • Level 0 throughout assembly unless audience participation is requested
  • During assembly dismissal, when appropriate, level 2 conversation is acceptable
  • When exiting the auditorium, resume level 0

Recess

  • Line up in your designated spot when the whistle blows
  • One quiet line of boys and one quiet line of girls
  • As you enter the building, you must be at level 0

Mornings on Playground

  • Line up at 7:25am (first bell)
  • One quiet line of boys and one quiet line of girls
  • Classes will be picked up by 7:30am (second bell)
  • As you enter the building, you must be at level 0
  • If you would like a breakfast or milk, you must grab it before you walk upstairs with your class

Bathroom

Common Area Expectations

  • Level 0 in the bathroom at all times
  • "One out, one in" policy when using the bathroom
  • You should be sitting and reading when not in line or using the bathroom
  • A bathroom monitor will check the bathroom before and after to report any issues

Hallway

  • Level 0 at all times
  • Open and close locker quietly
  • Quietly place books on the ground
  • When moving as a class, move in two quiet lines
  • Stand up straight, face forward, and keep a square between you and the people around you
  • Keep your hands to yourself
  • Do not lean against the wall or the lockers and do not sit on ledges or chairs
  • Keep the hallways clean
