Mission: Camp Sunshine provides respite, support, joy, and hope to children with life-threatening illnesses and their immediate families from around the world through the various stages of their journeys. The year-round program is free of charge to all families, and includes 24-hour on-site medical and psychosocial support. Camp Sunshine also provides bereavement sessions for families who have lost a child to supported illnesses.
Service is the heart of our organization. As a community service organization, our work revolves around giving members the opportunity to serve their campus, community and world!
And, alongside service and leadership, we focus on fellowship! Fellowship events, socials and programs allow CKI members from all over the world to meet each other on a personal level. Through our many opportunities, CKI members are able to make great friends in a wonderful, service-oriented community.
Leadership is another focus in our organization. As a collegiate organization, we strive to provide meaningful leadership opportunities to teach members life skills and help them become more confident in taking that leadership role.
Children of Peace International (COPI) was founded in 1993.

Tenants are critical for us to have a better understanding of our organization. Using our tenants of SERVICE, LEADERSHIP and FELLOWSHIP, we can better understand the types of projects we do, programs we run and opportunities we provide.
The Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute, KPTI and the Division of Trauma Surgery at the Floating Hospital for Children are dedicated to the specialized care of pediatric trauma patients and to the health and safety of all children. Traumatic injuries are the leading cause of death and disability to children. More children are killed and disabled by injuries than all other diseases combined.
As a partner with the New England District of Kiwanis, we have worked together since 1981 providing the highest level of expertise available to treat the most seriously injured children.
KPTI is the first pediatric trauma center in the world to provide medical care for injured children, medical research on pediatric trauma, and injury prevention programs for children and families.
Their Community Safety Programs reach more than 33,000 children and their families each year, in New England alone.
Your club should be having weekly or biweekly meetings, depending on what your e-board has decided.
NED Chair/Committee:
At e-board meetings, you should make sure all e-board members are in attendance and that there is an agenda. Discuss the upcoming club meeting and any other important topics.

Committees allow more members to get involved on the local level, encouraging them to take leadership roles in the future.
Committees also help cultivate discussion and provide the opportunity to exchange new ideas.
WELL MANAGED: A prepared agenda is a major help.
INFORMATIVE: A good club meeting is informative. Club members are informed of issues that are of general concern to the club.
FUN: A great club meeting is a fun place to be!
A QUALITY EXPERIENCE: It has been said that our CKI club meetings should be the "Best Shows on Campus."
On the 5th of each month, there is a report due for Presidents, Secretaries and Treasurers. If you missed any of the previous months, please go back and submit those reports as well- better late than never!
Each year, a club must pay a $600 (5,000 +) or $450
(4,999 -) International club fee as well as $6 dollars per member for district dues. This fee must be paid by December 1st.
Clubs may establish a few dollars from their members club dues to pay for things like food and service projects.
The Tomorrow Fund is an endowed fund for Circle K International held within the Kiwanis International Foundation. This fund, utilizing the interest earned, helps CKI clubs and districts serve the world through grants for service opportunities.
Clubs may request funding assistance from US$200 to US$2,000. The committee typically funds those clubs asking for a portion of the total cost of the project, and clubs that are working with other organizations to fund and complete the project. This primarily acts as a reimbursement.
