What can law enforcement do?

What can victims do?

The term "3rd wheel" is a very common way of saying you are being left out of an activity, and based on a person's confidence can be either a serious thing or an annoyance.

  • Don't participate in social media as much, such as Facebook, MySpace, etc.
  • Surround themselves with positive people and a positive environment.
  • Victims should also address the issue with a parent, guardian, teacher, etc.
  • Don't respond by bullying back.
  • Report cyberbullying.
  • Children should avoid being alone so that they won't be a target to be bullied.

In 2011, 28% of students aged

12-18 were bullied at school.

"Although no federal law directly addresses bullying, in some cases, bullying overlaps with discriminatory harassment when it is based on race, national origin, color, sex, age, disability, or religion."

-quote from http://www.stopbullying.gov/laws/federal/

Conclusion

Exclusion Bullying

Exclusion bullying is when a child is either purposefully left out or shunned from a group or activity, or when a child is not invited and "accidentally" forgotten.

Mean Girls - The Perfect Example

All children can be excluded, however females tend to be more indirect in their form of bullying, i. e. exclusion.
