Martha Graham: A Revolutionary in Modern Dance
Ballet started in the 15th century becoming the most popular dance style until Modern Dance evolved from Ballet and became a more free. Martha Graham was a big part of the evolution of modern dance getting sick of the same movements and the same soft movements that you couldn't change so she created her own style allowing more movement and choices for the dance.
Martha was the eldest child of three. she was born in May 1894. At the age of 17 she saw a ballet performance for the first time, falling in love with dance on the spot. She went to many schools before finally going to a dance school.
