Leo the silent was a minor character, as he was Rafe's imaginary friend. He was a more strict character in that he controlled Rafe's plan to break all the rules.

Rafe's decided he didn't want to go through a boring school year. He decided to try and break every rule in the book. He created a system of rules and points for each rule of the book.

Rafe had many traits throughout the book, as he was a dynamic character. He turned into a more caring person as stopped breaking rules, after the beginning where he wanted to make the school year more exciting.

Rafe's plan worked at some times, but didn't at others. Such as a bully named Miller always got in his way. His mother also stopped his rule breaking at sometimes.

The family of Rafe Katchadorian wants him to be a good kid. He turns into a troublemaking kid and everyone is disapointed in him. The minor characters in the family include his caring mother, disrepectful stepfather, and hos annoying sister. His imaginary friend is a kind Leo.

The setting demonstrated in the book was at a present day middle school.

The Humorous Mood

This book was very humorous showing; such as "Miller the Killer. It was impossible to stay off this kid's bad side."

The Theme

Many characters is this book (Including Rafe) showed that Rules Aren't For Everyone. Rafe's plan and everyone helping him showed this.

The Mood Of Happiness

The mood of happiness was demonstrated in many places of this book. "Sweet! By that time, I get to watch whatever I want." (Patterson 78)
