Hitting!

10 steps to play Volleyball!

*Step with your feet left-right-left

*Swing both your arms back

*Jump, but meanwhile pull your left arm high by the ball pull your right arm back by your cheek

*Swing at the ball with you right hand

Base!

Rules For Volleyball!

* When the ball is in play on the other side you're at "base."

*The three hitters are at the net blocking. (left,middle,right hitters)

*The middle back is in the middle in the way back.

*The left and right back are by the 10 foot line.

*6 players on a team, 3 on the front row and 3 on the back row.

*Maximum of three hits per side.

*Player may not hit the ball twice in succession (A block is not considered a hit)

*Ball may be played off the net during a volley and on a serve.

*A ball hitting a boundary line is “in”

Sayings!

*When you a going to pass the ball you call "mine!"

*When the setter hits the ball first they have to say "setter is out"

*When someone passes the ball over instead of hitting it you yell "free ball"

*When you set the setter yells a "c,2, or 5"

*When you switch to base you yell "base"

Passing/Bumping!

Positions!

* Your right hand flat under your left hand

*Thumbs together, but not crossing over

*Platform/Arms out

*Hit the ball on your four-arms

Serving Underhand!

*When the ball is on your side you get three passes to get it over the net

*Three people are on the 10-ft' line (the left front, middle front, right front)

*The setter moves from behind the 10-ft' line to the net

*Two people in the back (the left back & middle back

*THERE ARE DIFFERENT FORMATS TO PLAY THOUGH!!!!!

*Hold the ball in your non-dominate hand

*Put your non-dominate foot forward

*Make a fist with your hand

* Pull your arm back then swing at the ball

* Hit it with your lower four-arm

Serving Overhand!

*Hold the ball in your non-dominate hand

*Put your non-dominate foot forward

*Open your fingers with your hand

* Pull your elbow back then throw the ball

* Hit it with your palm

*Swing hard at the ball

Athletic Position!

Setting!

* Bend your knees

* Squat

* Platform out

*Have your hands in a triangle

*Fingers spread apart

*Bend your knees and arms

*Have your right foot a little in front of you left foot

*Use your finger tips to push the ball upward
