I liked the book because there is a lot of action.
The book made me feel excited.
I would reccomend this to a friend if they had read the first book.
The theme of the book is to try hard.
Septimus is afraid of heights but he must fly his dragon. He is so nervous he sweats a lake on Marcia's floor. He gathers his courage, climbs on his dragon, and drops like a stone for the first 30 seconds of his flight. He does not give up. He flies around the Wizard Tower once and lands in the courtyard like he is supposed to.
The setting was in a town with a palace and a purple and gold Wizard Tower. In the Tower, was a dragon kennel where Spit Fyre lives and a dragon loft where he learned how to fly. The story takes place in the present.

Septimus Heap Book 2 Flyte
Author: Angie Sage
I read this book because it was the next book in the series of books.
Jenna gets captured by Simon, Septimus' evil brother. They go to Simon's lair. Jenna escapes and almost gets killed by a "land wurm". Septimus finds Boy 409 (aka Wolf Boy). They go to the port and find Jenna. They get Jenna to Aunt Zelda for her mid-summer visit
to the Dragon Boat. They fly the Dragon Boat back, meet Jenna's father, and keep safe.
