Roberto Rivelino was born in January 1, 1946. He grew up in Sao Paulo, Brazil playing street soccer.
He joined the corinthians at the age of 19.He eventually built up from there and joined Fluminense at the age of 28.
He was mostly recognized by his big furry mustache.
Rivelino was chosen for the 1970 world cup to play for his country, Brazil, at the age of 24 along with players, Pele, Jairzinho, and Alberto. They were the stars of the team who lead the Brazillian team to victory in June 21, 1970.
What caught many fans attention was the "Elastico" or flip flap. It was a famous move he perfected but not invented.
