In order to promote and to complete one another in the sustainable tourism development in this area, Parit Penghulu International Agrotourism Homestay has link their homestay with the Sungai Rambai River Cruise (SRRC).
- Sungai Rambai River Cruise is a nature’s peaceful setting; it allows visitors to experience the unique sight of local village within the jungle and mangrove areas.
- This activity is supported by Tourism Melaka and Tourism Malaysia.
ECONOMIC CAPACITY
- They put the limit of development in their village in order to sustain their natural environment, so that their economic will only focus to the tourism activities within their village.
- The tourism activities will give income and benefit to the local people and local people will spend their money within their country, so that is a healthy economic within the local community.
- They also encourage the local people to run a business that can link with the homestay or that can complete the need of tourist that come to the homestay. For example, make souvenir from the local oil palm product or something from local.
Moreover, Local government also support and help this homestay
Local government also had agree that there will be no new housing area that been build at the village area.
They give fertilizer subsidy, water, grass, seed for their paddy field and build an infrastructure for the use of local people to maintain their sustainable tourism destination.
PHYSICAL CAPACITY
The maximum numbers of visitor in one day is 400 people and this is because they want to deliver a good quality of service. If there are exceeded number of tourist or visitor in one time, there will be less quality on their services and will give a negative impact to the environment of the village

SOCIAL CAPACITY
- limited tourist that can be accommodated in a one day, there will be no problem of cultural damage will occur (short period of time).
- Tourist that comes to this place want to know or learn the local cultures, because of this, they will behave in a well manner and the local people also will preserve well their culture for the sake of tourism attraction.
ENVIRONMENT OR ECOLOGICAL CAPACITY
There must be not more than 100 people that visit paddy field, oil palm and rubber farm in a one time.
In order to sustain their natural resources, they had an approval from the government where they will not allow new housing area been built in that area.
An affordable price
- various traditional activities and accommodation that will cater the tourist need with affordable price.
- The lowest package is from RM 50 per person for a day visit and the highest will be RM 200 per person for 3 days and 2 nights
community participation
- This homestay had provided a job and generate income for local community.
- Local people had involved voluntarily with the tourism activity.
Other than that, this homestay also had been promoted by Tourism Malaysia as one of the successful Homestay in this country.
- To show their support, Ministry of tourism Malaysia had give RM 200,000 to Parit Penghulu Homestay.
- The chairman of the homestay uses that money to build a café beside the paddy field.
