Once the egg hatches it is called an eaglet. Eaglets are covered in soft feathers called down.
CHANGE
The Egg
after the female eagle lays the egg it is incubated for 30-60 days.
This is the process of Change. First the eagle sits atop it's nest banging it's beak on a rock until the beak comes off. After the beak grows back it starts to pull out it's talons. While it's talons grow back it pulls out it's feathers. Once everything grows back, we call this the rebirth of an eagle.
Being Adult
On it's 40th year being alive it's talons can no longer grab prey. It's long sharp beak starts to bend. It's feathers start to stick whitch makes it a LOT harder to fly. It has two options, die or go through the painful process of Change.
