One advantage to using biometrics is that it cannot be guessed or copied like a PIN number can be. The Biometric scan is unique to your eyeball or fingerprint so unless someone has your eyeball, or fingerprint they can't steal your identity.
Another one of biometrics advantages
is it is impossible to forge. Meaning, you
can't create a fake fingerprint or eyeball
in the hopes of passing the scanner. Other
more common security measures such as
keys and key cards can be easily forged, putting
your identity in jeopardy.
Key cards, keys, and passwords can all be stolen.
Biometric scanners create password, key,
key card free security. Because of the lack of
physical things to steal it is very hard to break into
and steal someone's identity. The only way to infiltrate biometrics security is having the fingerprints or eyeball to use; making it much safer than other security systems.
