LBJ did absolutely horrendious in the war in Vietnam, unlike JFK, whom he was VP under, he didn't want to pull out of Vietname. LBJ believed that the Vietnamese had a breaking point, and began to result to using 3x the amount of bombs in Vietnam then what we used in WW2. If that isn't bad enough. Many of his troops tortured women and children whom were peasants in Vietnam, along with mutilating their bodies. LBJ did many notable things in Vietnam, in which all were poor decisions on his part.
LBJ was unbelieveably cruel and a bully. He would show public displays of cruelty to his aids, even the low-ranking White House employees. Even to foreign diplomats, he would continuously use bullying and intimidation to get his way, most noteably in Greece.
I believe Lyndon B. Johnson was a very ineffective president because of his voter fraud, manner of speaking, and his involvement in the Vietnam War.
Though Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act in 1957, many witnesses claim he didn't do it as to be a good man. According to Robert Caro, Lyndon Johnson would use the n-word on a regular basis, spouting it off like it was normal for him.
Evidence against him:
Since his first election in 1948 for the Senate, new studies have shown that LBJ may have committed voter fraud in many of his elections. It had been alleged for years that LBJ gained a position in the Senated through voter fraud, but evidence shows a great detail how LBJ overcame a 20,000-vote deficit to achieve his famous 87-vote victory in the 1948 Democratic runoff primary against a former Governor, Coke Stevenson.
Many people theorize that LBJ only signed the Civil Rights Act because it's what his predasesor, JFK wanted. Many also believe that he did it to become popular with black America.
Lyndon B. Johnson was the 36th President of the United States. He became the 36th President after John F. Kennedy was assassinated, since LBJ was the Vice President under Kennedy.
Under his administration, LBJ was known for:
To conclude, LBJ was a terrible president. He commonly used bullying, lead the US into the Vietnam war, committed voter fraud, and was a racist.
