The Effect Caffeine Has on Your Reaction Times Experiment:

half an hour later

what happened next.

Step 5: Final Result.

Step 4: After the caffeine Kicked in:

The results showed that the girls that had consumed the caffeines reaction time were much slower than before, where as the girls that had the decaf drinks reaction speeds were pretty much the same. This was surprising because a lot of our class thought that caffeine would speed up reaction times. Where as in conclusion after finding the results of our experiments in reality it actually slows reaction speeds down.

After the half an hour wait the partner that hadn't drank the drink tested their partners reaction speeds again the same amount of times and recorded them.

Step 3: After the girls drank the drinks.

After the partners got their drinks of either Coffee/decaf coffee or Coke/Diet coke we waited a half an hour for the girls that got caffeine's effects to kick in.

Step 2: Giving each partner either a drink with caffeine or a decaf drink:

The partner that tested their partners normal reaction times then went to get their partner a drink. They got their partners either a drink with caffeine or a decaf drink and didn't tell their partners what they were giving them.

Step 1:We Paired off everyone in our class.

One 0f the members of each group dropped a ruler from just above their partners hand and recording their reactions by recording at what point on the ruler they caught it at.
