Grade skipping actually help you in your later school life and your later life. Studies show that students who skip grades: have a higher GPA(Grade Point Average), school satisfaction, honors received, more success on exams, better income as an adult, and innovations created. Also, grade skippers are more likely more prestigious jobs and job satisfaction than non-grade skipper.
Children who are gifted often feel bored in their grade level. They feel they don’t belong and they are outcasts. This can lead to behavior problems and these gifted kids hating school. Skipping a grade will make these students feel like they belong, with tougher studies and kids they want to talk to . Many people say grade skipping is bad because students will have emotional problems if they grade skip. This may sometimes be true, but it should be up to the student. If they feel like grade skipping and they think they are prepared, they should do it. Also, some people say kids are missing out on thing when they skip grades. This is not likely true since studies shows, most students who have skipped grades/ a grade say they have made many new friends and are doing very well.
Grade skipping is very cost-effective. When a child skips a grade or more, he/she will not need to pay the expense of extra tutoring classes, since they will be learning all of it in school. Also, the cost of student going into a classroom of students his/her age is the same cost(or similar cost) as a student going into a classroom with students slightly older than him/her. This makes grade skipping basically free.
