"We can chart our future clearly and wisely only when we know the path which has led to the present."

~ Adlai Stevenson

Our journey begins!

Taylor Holley Ages 0-1 the Paleolithic Era

This period of my life encompasses all things primitive which is why it is called the Paleolithic era. During the beginning stages of my life I was using my first utensils, playing with my first toys, and exploring other things that were new to mankind! (At least to me). Also during this time period it wasn’t very rare to see a caveman drawn on a wall somewhere in my home.

Taylor Holley Ages 2-5 the Renaissance Era

This era, much like the renaissance after which it is named, witnessed increased freedoms and new ideas about life and music. I had the freedom to move, walk, talk, and dance. Over the years I’d learned to do these things and it was exciting being able to express myself without needing assistance. In addition the renaissance period was the golden age for choral music: during the age range my vocal chords finally warmed up and I haven’t stopped talking or singing since, it seems.

Taylor Holley ages 6-13 The Gilded Era

When an item is gilded it is covered with a superficial layer of gold. This period much like a gilded item seemed wonderful on the outside, but on the inside it’s a complete mess. I had a lot of friends, I went to a great school, and had a seemingly normal life. However, I was unhappy with a lot of other things. Also my family (like America during the gilded age) experienced a bit of an economic crisis.

Taylor Holley Ages 14-15 The Trial and Era (get it!?)

This was a period that entailed a lot of learning. That is just my fancy way of saying I did a lot of things wrong, but eventually got them right. Starting high school I was testing a lot of different things. I had to try different study habits, different enrichment, and I went through multiple best friends over the course of the year. Also I made a lot of changes regarding what I want to do when I’m older (I’m still working on that one). In the end all the wrongs are worth it because I find what’s truly right for me.

Taylor Holley Age 16 the Metamorphoses Era

This time period is the shortest. It is only 11 months long (it is also my current age). During this time period I have changed in so many ways and have come into my young adulthood, hence the name metamorphoses. I have matured in the way I think and judge things. Thank God I’ve become a more logical thinker. Also I’ve learned how to break bad habits I’ve had most of my life. The point is I was a child…now I’m a butterfly (I know I’m very poetic).

The end...

For now.
