If you're ever looking for some major bodies of water near jamaica you're most likely to find the carribean sea. A beautiful sea of the Atlantic Ocean to go alongside of the amazing island of Jamaica with relaxing sites and just and overall wonderful place. Over 1 million people live in the kingston meteropolitan area. The capital of Jamaica is the amazing city of Kingston well civilized and relatively populous.

Four important land marks of Jamaica would be Rose Hall Great House, Port Royal, Morant Bay Court House, Milk River Baths. Major cities would consist of Port Antonio, Spanish Town, Mandeville, Montego Bay, and Kingston. Major tourist areas are the resort centers of Montego Bay and Ocho Rios. Cricket is the national sport, and excellent golf and water-sports facilities are available. Lastly the kinds of tourist attractions in Jamaica would be Doctor's Cave Beach Club, Dolphin Cove Jamaica, Blue Mountains, Green Grotto Caves. The Blue Mountains are a beautiful grassy set of Mountains on Jamaica which are also Jamaica's longest range of mountains. If you're a fan of nature it's a good place to visit. My second personal favorite of these places that I'd recommend would be the Green grotto caves which are already a prominent tourist attraction in Jamaica. That's no surprise considering it's a beautifully sparkly cave.

A brief listing of some customs/traditions/Holidays in Jamaica would be New Year's Day, 1 January; Labor Day, 23 May; Independence Day, 1st Monday in August; National Heroes' Day, 3rd Monday in October; Christmas, 25 December; Boxing Day, 26 December. Movable religious holidays include Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and Easter Monday. Jamaicas clothing is usually modern style, but many Jamaicans tend to wear Rastafari inspired clothing with the designs in the iconic red, green, black and gold color scheme. Some popular Jamaica foods would be dishes like curry goat,fried dumplings,ackee and saltfish(cod) steamed cabbage and "rice and peas" (pigeon peas or kidney beans). There's a wide variety of people in jamaica, because Jamaica is a melting pot of diversity.

Jamaica is an English-speaking country and British usage is followed in

government and the schools. Creole is also often used.

There is freedom and equality of religion in Jamaica. Jamaica consists of 64% Christian (62%Protestant and 2% Roman Catholic), 2% Jehovah's Witnesses, 3% unstated, and 10% other.
